Cheryl Troxclair, P.T.
Cheryl joined The Fontana Center in February, 2006 as the Physical Therapy Department Head, bringing 15 years of experience with her. Cheryl is a graduate from Louisiana State University. She had received the McKenzie Certification in the Mechanical Diagnosis and Treatment of the spine, and is an Ergonomics Assessment Specialist. She also owned her own clinic, Physical Therapy Advantage, Inc., for four years. Christina Clark-Mills, D.P.T.
Christina Clark-Mills is one of the newest members to join the physical therapy department at The Center for Work Rehabilitation. Christina is a graduate from The University of St. Augustine where she received her Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy. She is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association and plans to run to sit on the Louisiana State Board of Physical Therapy. Christina has advanced training and skills in manual therapy techniques for the spine and extremities with her primary work being in orthopedics.
Monica Guidry, MEd
Monica Guidry, MEd, Exercise Physiologist / Director of Fitness Programs, has been a member of The Fontana Center family since May 1998. She attended the University of Louisiana at Lafayette (formerly USL) receiving a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology. Upon graduation, Monica received a Graduate Assistantship to the University of Louisiana at Monroe (formerly NLU) where she was given the responsibility of teaching activity and lecture classes as well as working in the human performance laboratory. Monica received a Master of Education in Exercise Physiology from UL - Monroe. Along with the degree came much experience in the fields of cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation.
After returning to the Lafayette area, Monica worked as an Exercise Physiologist for Committed to Kids, a medical based program for overweight children established by LSU Medical Center. She then accepted an Exercise Physiologist position with The Center for Work Rehabilitation, Inc at the Fontana Center and has recently accepted the role of Director of Fitness Programs.
Monica is a member of the Louisiana Association of Exercise Physiologist (LAEP) and has attended numerous seminars to help further her education. She is a certified water fitness instructor through USWFA and teaches exercise classes on a regular basis. Monica makes herself available to go out into the Acadiana community and visit businesses and organizations to promote not only the programs offered by The Center for Work Rehabilitation, Inc at the Fontana Center but also the benefits of an active lifestyle.
